The Riordan Programs provide leadership and management training to diverse individuals all over the country. The Scholars Program, College-to-Career Program and MBA Fellows Program develop tomorrow's leaders by providing a transformational experience through the use of mentors, educational workshops and community service.
Position Summary
The Program Specialist for the Riordan Programs will have the responsibility of assisting with the coordination of our newly established Alumni Association and Riordan MBA Fellows cohort, an program designed to promote business school awarness among first generation, under-represented college graduates. She/he will evaluate processes (quality of implementation) to determine the effectiveness of Alumni Association and business school application prep series, identify potential challenges and barriers to program implementation, and solicit suggestions for improvement. Administer and develop pre/post surveys to measure the immediate effectiveness of the one-week summer session as well as the longer-term effectiveness. Assist with recruitment and outreach to reach target number of program participants. Develop mentor assessments and provide formative and quality feedback on the virtual mentorship component through the post-program surveys, as well as through informal interviews with participating students and mentors on an ongoing basis. Working on the Riordan Recorder for Riordan MBA Fellow Participants.
Salary & Compensation

- Interpersonal Skills Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with foundations, administrators and funding agency personnel. Ability to work as part of a team toward a common goal. (Required)

- Strong verbal and written communications skills. (Required)
- Experience with evaluations, assessments and program surveys. (Required)
- Experience working with diverse and under-served populations, particularly with college students. (Required)
- Ability to keep confidential and privileged information. (Required)
- Ability to do research quickly and to use contact management databases. (Required)
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive approach. (Required)
- Skill and resourcefulness in using references to gather needed information to complete projects. (Required)
- Ability to maintain composure and productivity despite multiple deadlines, frequent interruptions, and distractions and competing priorities. (Required)
- Ability to gather information necessary for resolving questions and solving problems. (Required)
- Knowledge of regulations regarding contract and grant administration. (Required)
- Ability to develop materials to present on the Riordan Program at conferences and meetings. (Required)
- Education, Licenses, Certifications & Personal Affiliations
- Bachelor's Degree Bachelor's degree in a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. (Required)
