Student Success Coach
Long Beach City College Foster Youth Support Services (FYSS)The Foster Youth Support Services (FYSS) program at Long Beach City College is hiring two Student Success Coaches for the 2024-2025 academic year. The FYSS program is dedicated to supporting current and former foster youth students in their educational, career, and personal goals. We are looking for someone that is interested in working with current and former foster youth students in a college setting. As well as someone who has an understanding of the diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students. Please see the flyer attached for more information.

The Foster Youth Support Services (FYSS) program is dedicated to supporting current and former foster youth students in their educational, career, and personal goals. Starting pay is $20/hr and you can work up to 20 hours per week.
Qualifications:
- Must have a Bachelor’s degree and be currently enrolled in a Master’s or Doctoral program.
- Understanding of diverse socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds of students
Responsibilities:
- Manage caseload of students
- Assist with projects and activities related to the program
- Create and design flyers for workshops and events
- Facilitate workshops and assist with program events
- Other duties as assigned
This position is a one year commitment for 2024-2025. The primary location depends on program needs and may be at LAC, TTC, or both campuses. Deadline to apply is November 1, 2024.
